When you buy a house the thoughts of decorating often times feels overwhelming. Where do you even start? Especially when it's your first house. Going from a rental to owning a home is one huge transition.
My good friend
Raya gave me the best house-warming present. She made me an inspiration board! This has helped me tramendously! Each time I find something that I like in a magazine, I add it to the board. It's always growing and always developing. Going back to that board time and time again has helped me stay on a path for decorating the house.
My theme for my house (with the help of
Raya) is POMP & POP. This means that I am incorporating my Pop Art pieces together with vintage and modern pieces. I'm a huge fan of Pop Art. I love the style, the color and the way it makes a house have instant character!
This Lichtenstein print is my prize piece. I love that it has it's own wall! It's the first thing you see when you walk into my house.
This piece was purchased at the
Melrose Trading Post Melrose Trading Post. This obviously is based on the famous Warhol painting of Marilyn Monroe. It brings so much color and energy to the room. I'm really happy with it.
